After studying engineering at university I moved from teaching science, to teaching engineering, through management to be a data manager. However, throughout that time I now realise that I have always loved analysing numbers and problem solving and so re-trained as a Bookkeeper and gained my licence to practice with the ICB.
My bookkeeping journey started whilst I was teaching engineering and I was a guide leader. I volunteered to do the bookkeeping for the unit and the district. What a fantastic introduction to this industry. This was closely followed by my husband, a self employed heating engineer and plumber, needing someone to take contact of his accounts as he hates doing this.
Why did I start Accountable Web? To be honest I was fed-up working for larger companies and wanted to work more closely with clients. Owning and managing my own practice allows me to spend as much time as I want and need with my clients doing something that I love.
You can see that I am not just a bookkeeper, but I love spending time on my hobbies and with my husband, dogs and chickens. Hopefully by working with me you will be able to spend time with what/whoever gives you happiness.
